FDOT has a lane elimination process in place that must be followed for all State roads. If a roadway is owned by the local government, this process does not need to be followed but FDOT encourages a systematic process be followed. There are no formal agreements governing all lane eliminations and each lane elimination proposal is handled on a case-by-case basis.

Page 32 of the Statewide guidance found in Part 2 below contains some options for streamlining the example review process.
