In the early 2000s, the City of Oakland Park conducted a citywide traffic calming study.
In order to provide for a safe, convenient, and efficient motorized and non-motorized transportation system, the continued implementation of the citywide neighborhood planning program will take place including conducting appropriate traffic calming studies City of Oakland Park Comprehensive Plan
A traffic calming report was required for the NE 34 Ct: NE 12 Tr to NE 16 Ave project, and has been completed. Recommendations will be programmed as part of the Broward MPO TIP. FDOT's FY 2018 Work Program includes preliminary engineering for the recommendations, and the improvements are included in the City's CIP. Oakland Park Capital Improvement Projects
