The City requires traffic impact studies for new development and redevelopment. Broward County is the transportation service provider in charge of concurrency. The County collects traffic impact fees and uses them for projects. The County approves all sign placements, and the City of Oakland Park has an inter-local agreement with the Broward County engineering department for review of projects.
